The long wait is finally over! Already several years in the making, it is now our pleasure to
announce the inaugural season of the Bravura Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. The 2010-2011 season promises
to be an experience filled with excitement and discovery, featuring
a most diverse repertoire and the
finest musical coaching.
Founded in 2007, the original Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra prides itself in fostering a rich musical
culture within New Jersey. With a wonderfully diverse program including timeless classics, modern songs,
and significant cultural works, the Bravura Philharmonic has emerged as one of the country’s top community
orchestras. Upon completion of the 2009-2010 season, the orchestra proudly received the second place
distinction in the American Prize Competition.
It is from this tradition of excellence and great music making that we found the Bravura Philharmonic
Youth Orchestra, to offer an unrivaled musical experience for students within
a constructive and welcoming
setting. The orchestra will be under the direction of renowned conductor and pianist Chiu-Tze Lin along
with professional members of the Bravura Philharmonic. With multiple performances throughout the year
featuring unique repertoire, the orchestra is sure to challenge even the most advanced music students.
Auditions for new students will be held on the 16th and 23rd of September, and on a rolling basis just
before regular Thursday rehearsals. Please refer to the attached sheets for audition requirements and
application. You may also find information about us on
Facebook; feel free to post questions as well!
Once again, welcome to the first season ever of the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra. We hope that you’ll
join us for a wonderful year!
