Fourteen-year-old
virtuoso pianist Constance Lin Kaita is a student of Dr. Chiu-Ling Lin. Her former teachers
were her mother, Chiu-Tze Lin, and Ingrid Clarfield. Constance made her orchestral solo piano debut
when she was only nine years old with the Westfield Symphony. She has also performed as a soloist
with the Shanghai Chamber Musicians Orchestra and the Philadelphia Biblical University Orchestra.
Constance has won first prize four times for her age group in the New Jersey Music Teachers Association
Young Musicians Competition, and first prize twice in the Steinway Scholarship Competition. Constance
was a featured Rising Star in the 2004 Beijing Music Festival. She has performed in the Forbidden City
Concert Hall, the People’s Congress Hall in Beijing the Shanghai Grand Theatre and the Oriental Arts
Centre in Shanghai. Her performances have been broadcast on National Television across China.
Constance has performed
in master classes for Lang Lang and Gilbert Kalish. Constance has performed as a soloist on both piano
and violin in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, and Steinway Hall. Constance
received a distinction rating in the examination for the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music Diploma
in piano performance. Her score was the highest ever attained for any instrument in the tri-state area.
