




The concertmaster of the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra, violinist Daphne Su, recently completed her
Masters of Music as an Irene Diamond Scholarship recipient at the Juilliard School, under the tutelage
of Masao Kawasaki. She was also a full scholarship recipient at the University of Michigan, where she
received her Bachelor of Music with a minor in Economics.
Ms. Su performed the Brahms Violin Concerto with the University Symphony Orchestra at Ann Arbor’s Hill
Auditorium, Michigan, where she was the winner of the concerto competition. She also served as the
concertmaster of the University Symphony Orchestra in Michigan, as well as the assistant concertmaster
and Principle Second Violin of the Juilliard Orchestra. She has attended summer music festivals including
Aspen Music Festival and School (AMFS), the Music Academy of the West, Chautauqua Institution’s Music
Festival, Pacific Music Festival, and Tanglewood Music Center. She has worked under world-renowned
conductors including James Levine, Valery Gergiev, Riccardo Muti, and Oliver Knussen. She currently
resides in New York City, and has an active teaching studio in New Jersey.
Ms. Su is on a leave of absence as the concertmaster for its 2010-11 season.
However, she will be the featured soloist with the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra in its Family Concert
on Sunday, March 6, 2011.
蘇子茵, 茱麗亞音樂學院小提琴碩士畢業. 師事Masao Kawasaki.在校期間榮獲Irene Diamond獎學金並參與多重室內 樂與現代音樂的演出並擔任第二小提琴首席.自三歲開始學習鋼琴,
七歲開始學習小提琴。十六歲隨家人移民至美,從 East Brunswick高中及茱莉亞(Juilliard)音樂學院學前課程畢業的同時,子茵榮獲總統教育卓越獎、全國管弦樂獎及亞 裔美國人領導獎。
她並擔任茱莉亞音樂學院學前課程畢業音樂會的首席。2003年她獲得全額獎學金進入密西根大學音 樂系,師事Stephen Shipps,以三年時間完成音樂學士及經濟副修課程;在校期間,
於2004及2005年分別擔任密西 根大學愛樂管弦樂團及交響樂團的首席。在校外她也考取加入Ann Arbor交響樂團擔任小提琴手。在2006年她贏得密 西根大學協奏曲大賽,並在
四月畢業前夕與密西根大學交響樂團共同演奏布拉姆斯小提琴協奏曲。子茵在暑假期間 也受邀至各大知名音樂節演出, 如Aspen, Music Academy of West, Chautauqua
Institute of Music, Pacific Music Festival and Tanglewood Music Center. 並且與世界知名指揮家James Levine, Valerie Gergiev,

Christine Haarvig, a native of Chicago, graduated with honors from Syracuse University, where she was
a scholarship student of the renowned virtuoso and pedagogue Louis Krasner. Her orchestral career has
included positions with the Syracuse Symphony, the Rochester and Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestras, and
the Chicago Lyric Opera. She has performed extensively in recitals, chamber music concerts and freelance
engagements in Toronto, Buffalo and Chicago, playing a Giovanni Battista Gabrielli violin made in Florence
in 1763.
Continuing her musical activities since moving to New Jersey in 1994, Ms. Haarvig spent five seasons with
the Princeton Symphony and continues to perform regularly with the Riverside Symphonia. She also performs
with the Delaware Valley Philharmonic, Newtown Chamber Orchestra, Boheme Opera and various other area
orchestras and chamber music groups while working as a licensed clinical social worker in private practice.
She is delighted to join this exciting young orchestra as Acting Concertmaster for several concerts this season.
Ingrid Tang co-concertmaster of the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra, was born in China, receiving
her early training on the violin from her mother. She was later accepted into the Shenyang Music
Institute. Ms. Tang was a member of the National Orchestra of the Air Force in China, where she
played as a professional violinist for eleven years., and was also appointed as the co-concertmaster
of the orchestra. Ms. Tang also studied and received her degrees at the National Arts Institute in
Beijing. Ms. Tang is currently living in Dayton, New Jersey where she performs actively as a chamber
musician and freelancing with Spirit of America Symphonic Pops, Greater Trenton Symphony Orchestra,
Riverside Symphonia and in other orchestral playing. She also maintains an active private teaching
studio for 15 years and is the chair of the strings program for the New Jersey Music teacher Association.
