Ms. Feng Yu, is an internationally renowned Hulusi artist who has performed around the world, including Europe, South Africa, Asia, and across the US. She is a member of the elite China Xinsiyun Art Troupe, and Head of the Sichuan Hulusi Research Association. Ms. Feng has been promoting Hulusi research, performance, and teaching for many years, and is the founder of the Yunzhilan Hulusi Art Center. In October 2017, Ms. Feng and her Xinsiyun Art Troupe gave a special Hulusi concert in Vienna’s Goldener Saal Wiener Musikverein. Ms. Feng lives in China, and she is coming to the US specifically for this performance. 

獨奏家馮玉女士是一位國際知名的葫蘆絲藝術家, 曾在歐洲、南非、亞洲o 和美國等世界各地演出。她是中國新絲韻藝術團成員及四川葫蘆絲研究會會長。馮女士多年來一直在推動葫蘆絲的研究、表演和教學, 是雲之藍葫蘆絲巴烏藝術機構的創始人。 2017年10月, 馮女士和她的新絲韻藝術團在維也納音樂協會金色大廳舉辦了一別開生面的葫蘆絲音樂會。馮女士此次專程從中國來美國演出。

Guest artist, Mr. Ming Yao, who learned to play the bamboo flute in childhood. He was the key person in charge of the folk orchestra in high school and university, as well as the Purple Bamboo Orchestra in New Jersey. In 2007, he won the first prize in the bamboo flute competition for folk music instruments in the eastern region of the US, organized by China Central Television (CCTV). Mr. Yao not only actively participates in various community performances, but he has also taught bamboo flute and Hulusi in Chinese school for many years, to cultivate the popularity of Chinese folk instruments among students.
